Is there a disadvantage when it comes to grid-tied solar systems?

In Which Direction Should I Install A Solar Panel?

As a rule of thumb, mount the solar panels on any East, North or West facing roof. The best position is at an angle of 25-35 degrees if possible. In the case of a flat roof installation, an angle of 15-20 degrees to the horizontal is usually a good idea.
