PV Direct is operated by Invertus (Pty) Ltd, who is a leading provider of grid-tied solar power kits for homes in Southern Africa. With German engineering expertise and years of experience serving commercial and industrial customers, we bring top-quality solar solutions to homeowners since 2018. Our mission is to make solar power accessible to everyone, empowering homeowners to generate their own power and reduce their dependence on coal for a more sustainable future.

Powering a hospital

Our technology is tried and tested. We're so confident of our selfPV technology that it is already powering a hospital in Malawi. In April 2022 we donated a distributed solar system comprising of our selfPV technology to Chikwawa District Hospital in Malawi, which was heavily affected by the damage to the Kapichira hydro power station caused by Tropical Cyclone Ana.

Both the selfPV Duo and the selfPV Quad systems were installed in an afternoon and started providing power to the hospital as soon as they were plugged into the nearest 3-pin power socket.
